We offset our carbon footprint
We are concerned about the environment and we take actions as a company to reduce and offset our CO2 emissions. We reduce our carbon emissions with our travel policy and other internal proposals. In addition, we offset our emissions through Atmosfair, an organization that develops and finances renewable energy.
Travel policy: less plane, more train
The plane is the least environmentally friendly mode of transport, so we avoid them as much as possible. Our policy prioritizes the train when we travel within the same country. If taking a flight is unavoidable, we do it in economy class, which produces 2 to 3 times less CO2 than a business flight. In addition, our offices are located in places that are well connected by public transportation.
We keep our office green
Our Technology Center has obtained the LEED certification (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) which guarantees that the office is sustainable. Additionally, we believe that the sum of many small actions can have a big impact. Tiko has digitized most of the process of buying and selling a home, resulting in a considerable reduction of paper; only the necessary official documents are printed. And, of course, we are very serious about recycling.
