Discover how Forto is taking climate action

As a company and as a team, it is important to Forto to make our contribution to the fight against the climate crisis: Forto has been climate-neutral since its foundation in 2016 - we follow the motto: CO₂ measure, actively reduce and compensate for irreducible emissions. Since then we have taken more and more measures to make our contribution. In mid-2019 we founded an employee-led "Climate Action Group", which develops solutions to make our business model more sustainable - we measure the CO₂ emissions of our customers' shipments, offer the possibility of offsetting and conduct an active dialogue with our customers about more sustainable supply chains. We are also working very actively to make our team and our office as sustainable as possible. As part of this, we have changed our travel policy (no inland flights), adapted the catering for our employees to vegetarian, local and organic food, convinced the owner of the Backfabrik to convert the whole building (25.000 sqm) to renewable energy after 2 years (Lichtblick), informed our employees how to reduce their personal CO₂ footprint and are active participants in the climate demonstrations of Fridays for Future.
