We are fighting for the climate-smart revolution of agriculture- "the AGVOLUTION" Even in Europe the last years has shown the impact of climate change on the current plant growing systems with high yield losses up to 100 %. At the same time, German agriculture, among others, is in the climate protection program of Federal government requested to provide 14 million tons of CO2 equivalents by 2030. How can this work? We need to adapt on the environment and we need to find the balance between the plant growing, management and the environmental limitations and possibilities of each field. Our approach: Farm activities could produce already around 100,000 data points per hectare by merging data sources and using new technologies such as IoT. Based on CLIMAVI-IoT sensors our environmental intelligence FARMALYZER provides transparent presentation of economic cost of each crop management activity, accounting for resource balancing e.g. CO2., nitrogen, biocides, growth regulator, fuel and water). Under the consideration of climatic extremes and risks our site-specific decision support (per 10 sqm) could lead to economic and ecological optimization of up to 40%. Specific information such as for irrigation demand, nitrogen fertilizer rate recommendation or the provision of satellite derived index can be accessed by existing Farm-Management-Software and machinery. AGVOLUTION will increase the available data points per ha up to 1,5 Million with the best -in-class IoT solution at the most affordable price. So even smallholder farms will have access to weather data at all and they will benefit from our innovations.
